Shree KalaRam Mandir built with black stones 200 years ago by Sardar Mr.Odhekar, cost about 23 lakhs rupees and carried out in nearly 12 years using 2000 workers. Nearby is Sita Gumpha from where Sita was abducted by Ravan still houses The Shiv linga worshiped by her.
The place where Lord Shri Ram and Sita along with Laxman stayed at during Vanawas (exile) is called "Panchvati" due to five Banyan trees grown here.
In Panchavati area on the bank of river Godavari is Naroshankar Temple dedicated to Lord Rameshwara. It was built in 1747by Naroshankar Rajebahaddur and in the front is the famous"Naroshankar Bell" - a memorial of victory over Portuguese. Shree Kapaleshwar Mahadev Temple is without idol of Nandi & Ved Temple for students of Ancient Indian culture of Vedas & Puranas are near Central Bust Stand.
Shree Sunder Narayan Temple built in 1756 by Gangadhar Yashwant Chandrachud is devoted to Lord Vishnu with Laxmi and Saraswati.. Rays of the rising Sun fall exactly upon the idols on 21st March. Nearby is Badarika Sangam Pond mentioned in the holy book Dnyaneshwari.
Shree Godavari Ramkund where Lord Rama is believed to have taken bath. Nearby is Gandhi Talav (monument of Mahatma Gandhi, Dutondya Maruti with two faces on either sides are other places in Panchavati area.
Bhakti Dham: near Dindori Naka,.Shree Laxmi Narayan Temple at Tapovan. Shree Someshwar Temple devoted to Mahadev & Lord Hanuman on the banks of river Godavari, 8km on the way to Gangapur dam with facilities for boating & swimming.
Pandav Caves (Pandav Leni) 9 kms, built 2000 years ago by Jain Kings on the three peaks of Anjinagiri ranges and biggest Artillery Center in Asia is behind the caves and training for `Bofors Gun` is given here. Entry is restricted for civilians.
17 kms from Nashik road is Bhagur the birth place of, Swatantrya Veer Savarkar near Deolali. Veer Savarkar Smarak and temple of ‘Bhagur Devi’ are places to visit.
Mukti Dham 8km., in Nashik Road was built by Shri Jayram Bhai Bytco, with marble from Makran in Rajastan. One can get a glance of all major Hindu Deities with replicas of all the twelve Jyotirlingas, and eighteen chapters of Geeta inscribed on the walls.
5 kms from Nashik City and 16 kms from Nashik Road are the famous Chamber Caves - Teertharaj Gajapantha - at Mhasrul situated on the top of Gajadhwaja Hillock. In 600 B.C Mysore’s Chamaraj King installed these statues and hence these are known as "Chamer Cavesâ€.
