The Samadhi of the sage Changdev is located in this town on the banks of River Godavari. This town of Old Temples is revered as the place for performing important religious rituals. Temple of Godess Yadnyaseni where Sage Yadnyawalkya performed his Yagnya, is on the west. Beautiful Ghats are built along the riverside by Rani Ahilyadevi who reconstructed many temples there.
