Chikhaldara is a famous hill station peacefully set amidst the Gawildad range of Satpura. It was known as "Keechakadhara" as this is the place in Mahabharata where Bheema - the strongest Pandwa killed the demon Keechaka in a bout and threw him into a valley.
Bhimkund (Kitchakdari), Vairat Devi, Sunset Point, Bir Dam, Panchbol Point, Kalapani Dam, Mahadev Mandir, Semadhoh Tiger Project, Hariken Point, Mozari Point, Prospects Point, Devi Point, Monky Point, Goraghat, Shakkar Lake, Malviya and Sunrise Point, Government Garden are the points of attraction.
Chikhaldara boasts to be the only Coffee Growing center in Maharashtra.
