Jyotiba Back
Jyotiba Hill (950 meters) is near Wadi-Ratnagiri north of of Kerli town on Kolhapur-Malkapur-Ratnagiri Road. Jotiba Temple at the top was was build in 1730 by Navajisaya The four-handed idol holding, Trishul, Damaru, Khadga & Amruta kalsha, is bluish in colour. Its "Wahana" is Horse. Devotees worship "Kalbhairava" before visiting Jotiba. A big fair is held on Chaitra Poornima, when large number of devotees come with "Sasan" (tall sticks) and scattering "Gulal" turning whole mountain pink. A new scheme Plaza Garden has been under taken.
