Pleasant and cool throughout the year this Hill Station of Khandesh is situated in Satpuda Ranges at the height of 1036 meters. It was the capital of Mandu Kings. Toranmal is a small plateau (approx. 42 sq. kms.) Spread in about 1.5 sq. km. area is beautiful Yashavant Lake formed by a stream flowing across this plateau is named after Yashwantrao Chavan who travelled on a horse back to this hill station. Boating and fishing is available here. The stream forms another lake called Lotus Lake which is always covered with lotus flowers. In rainy season the stream finally jumps down the cliff in Sita Khai, as a fascinating waterfall.
A big Yatra on Mahashivratri in Gorakhnath Temple is attended by thousands of devotees walking barefooted from all nearby districts of Maharashtra, Gujarat and Madhyapradesh.
Other attractions are, Shiva Temple enroute to Sita Khai., forest garden of forest medicines, Kalapani WaterFall , Historical `Vatavriksha`. Machhindranath Cave.
